Kandev alleged that this activity was organized by a former official within the Interior Ministry, identified only by the first name “Svetlyo.” He speculated that the objective of these actions was to fabricate wrongdoing and force his resignation.
The Secretary General publicly questioned the Sofia City Prosecution Service regarding the validity of the testimony presented that day and sought to identify the individuals directing the situation. Kandev concluded by stating his refusal to adopt a passive stance. He maintained that silence was not an option for him.
The pattern of alleged pressure, he suggested, was similar to previous attempts, but he declared his resolve to proceed despite the challenges.
