SPA Hotel in Razlog Reports Strong Interest from Visitors from Israel, Greece, Romania, North Macedonia

Petar Zahov, General Manager of the Katarino SPA Hotel in Razlog, reported notable visitor interest from several international markets, including Israel, Greece, Romania, and North Macedonia. While the hotel’s primary clientele remains Bulgarian, Zahov indicated that demand from abroad is also evident, suggesting sustained regional appeal and strong brand recognition across the Balkans and the Middle East. Zahov also highlighted the hotel’s consistent recognition, noting that Katarino SPA Hotel was ranked first among the top ten five-star mountain hotels in Bulgaria for 2025 for the second consecutive year.

This ranking is determined by the HotScore™ index, which assesses guest reviews from over 1,200 hotels nationwide. The establishment has received multiple accolades, including recognition for best four-star mountain spa hotel in 2020 and best four-star spa hotel offering locally sourced cuisine in 2022. The hotel’s extensive spa centre provides complimentary access to numerous thermal and relaxation facilities.

These include indoor and outdoor pools heated to approximately 34°C, a cave-style jacuzzi, a salt room, and various saunas (Finnish, Kiva, and infrared). Additional amenities feature an aroma and panoramic steam bath, a laconium, adventure showers, a tepidarium, and an ice fountain. For personalized wellness, the spa offers massages, hydrotherapy treatments, and specialized therapies focusing on recovery and preventive care.

Further enhancing the guest experience, a new outdoor pool with an infinity jacuzzi was added in 2023. The wellness focus is emphasized by the BTA’s “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature, which showcases over 200 certified spa centers in Bulgaria. This initiative is linked to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT in 2026, where BTA will serve as the main media partner.
