The Logistic Support 26-1 tactical-special exercise is scheduled to take place from April 27 to April 30 at the Todorovo training ground. The central theme of this military drill involves the deployment of a convoy support center designed to facilitate the movement of allied forces within the country. According to the Defence Ministry press service, participation in the event will involve up to 200 military personnel and approximately 50 pieces of equipment drawn from units under the Logistics Support Command in Sofia and Lovech.
In preparation for the primary exercise, personnel and equipment are slated for transport via the national road network on April 27 and 30, moving from Sofia and Lovech to the Todorovo vehicle depot near Pleven, in North Central Bulgaria. Beyond the domestic training, the region will manage significant international logistical movements. On April 27 and 28, personnel, vehicles, and supplies belonging to the Polish Armed Forces will be transported across the national road network to participate in the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 exercise in Greece.
These forces are expected to return through Bulgaria on May 16 and 17. Furthermore, between April 28 and May 1, rail convoys belonging to the armed forces of Sweden are scheduled to pass through the country, demonstrating continued military connectivity and support infrastructure management across Bulgaria.
