Thracian Residence in Starosel Blends Mineral Water and Wine Therapies

The SPA Thracian Residence, located within the Starosel Wine & Spa Complex in the Plovdiv Region, offers a blend of healing mineral water and specialized wine-based therapies. According to the hotel manager, Videlin Piskov, the facility distinguishes itself by utilizing natural cosmetics derived from the complex’s own vineyards. The spa incorporates essential oils extracted from grape seeds into products such as massage oils, toning serums, and eye contour treatments.

Furthermore, exfoliating products utilize crushed grape seed pulp. The center provides comprehensive wine-based procedures, including antioxidant treatments and aromatherapy, which use wine mud sourced from the winery’s fermenters. These wine therapies complement classic and therapeutic massages alongside facial and body cosmetic treatments.

Complementing the wine focus is the complex’s mineral water, which maintains a temperature of approximately 54°C. This water is noted for its benefits to the skin and musculoskeletal system, aiding detoxification and improving circulation. The facility employs specialized staff, including kinesiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and massage therapists, to guide guests through their treatments.

The extensive spa area features both indoor and outdoor mineral pools, a saltwater pool equipped with hydromassage jets, a plunge pool for contrast therapy, and various relaxation zones such as Finnish and aromatic saunas, steam baths, hammams, a snow room, a sun room, and a salt cave for halotherapy. While Bulgarian visitors form the primary clientele during the autumn, winter, and spring seasons, the influx of international guests increases during the summer, with Germany, Turkiye, Romania, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg being the largest sources of international visitors to Starosel.
