Lucky Bansko Aparthotel SPA & Relax recently received two awards for 2026 in the category of retreat tourism, according to the resort. The accolades were presented at the Spring Travel Soare forum, an event organized by Travel & LifeStyle Magazine with support from the Tourism Ministry. The awards recognized the property’s inclusion in the top 50 best retreat destinations and awarded first place for the best retreat destination in Bulgaria for 2026.
The spa centre at the Bansko location is designed to offer holistic recovery and personalized guest care. The complex’s executive director, Assoc. Prof.
Asya Pandzherova, detailed the comprehensive services available. Detox programmes incorporate treatments such as hydro-massage baths using therapeutic extracts, hammam rituals, Rasul therapies with mineral mud and clay, and water bed applications with healing ingredients. The facility’s water zone features bio-pools with underwater music, a pool treated with Dead Sea salts, a jacuzzi, and hydro-massage amenities.
Additional amenities include a Finnish and infrared sauna, a steam bath, and a salt room for halotherapy in the thermal zone. An innovative offering is the cryosauna, which subjects the body to temperatures as low as minus 160 degrees Celsius to stimulate recovery and vitality. For a complete wellness experience, the spa offers various facial and body treatments, including aromatherapy and anti-aging programs.
The resort also features specialized facilities for children, such as a heated pool purified by ultrasound and electrolysis. A core offering at the Bansko spa is the weight loss, detox, and anti-stress programme, which the director stated is a key competitive advantage of the resort.
