Candidates Elected in Two Constituencies Declare Which One They Will Represent

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the decisions of fourteen candidates who were elected in two separate multi-member constituencies (MMCs) regarding which list they will enter the 52nd National Assembly from. The Deputy Chair of the CEC confirmed these selections during a meeting held Friday. Previously, the CEC had reported that thirteen candidates were elected across two MMCs.

This number increased to fourteen following a decision by Katya Paneva, who finalized which MMC would represent her seat. The CEC detailed the specific changes in representation for the fourteen individuals. For example, Alexander Georgiev Pulev chose to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora rather than MMC 30 – Shumen.

Similarly, Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev will represent MMC 9 – Kardzhali instead of MMC 24 – Sofia. Other confirmed shifts include Rumen Georgiev Radev moving from MMC 25 – Sofia to MMC 2 – Burgas, and Boyko Metodiev Borissov electing to represent MMC 16 – Plovdiv instead of MMC 25 – Sofia. The list of declarations included Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev from MMC 24 – Sofia instead of MMC 29 – Haskovo, and Tomislav Peykov Donchev from MMC 7 – Gabrovo instead of MMC 23 – Sofia.

The final confirmations covered candidates such as Asen Vaskov Vassilev, Nikolay Denkov Denkov, and Katya Maksimova Paneva. The CEC is scheduled to release the complete roster of members of the 52nd National Assembly on Saturday. Furthermore, the commission had previously announced the distribution of seats among various political parties during its meeting on Thursday.
