The Deputy Chair of the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the declarations made by fourteen candidates who were elected in two separate multi-member constituencies (MMCs) regarding their representation in the 52nd National Assembly. This announcement followed the CEC’s statement on Thursday regarding the distribution of seats among political parties. The process involved individuals choosing one specific MMC from which they would enter the new parliament.
The CEC confirmed that following the decision of one additional list leader, a total of fourteen individuals made these declarations. The specific changes indicate shifts in representation across several constituencies. For instance, Alexander Georgiev Pulev opted to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora rather than MMC 30 – Shumen.
Other declared changes include Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev moving from MMC 24 – Sofia to MMC 9 – Kardzhali, and Rumen Georgiev Radev moving from MMC 25 – Sofia to MMC 2 – Burgas. Further adjustments were noted for Boyko Metodiev Borissov, who shifted from MMC 25 – Sofia to MMC 16 – Plovdiv. Similarly, Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev selected MMC 24 – Sofia over MMC 29 – Haskovo.
These declarations continued with Tomislav Peykov Donchev choosing MMC 7 – Gabrovo instead of MMC 23 – Sofia, and Asen Vaskov Vassilev selecting MMC 16 – Plovdiv over MMC 29 – Haskovo. The list of representatives also saw adjustments for Nikolay Denkov Denkov (MMC 1 – Blagoevgrad), Katya Maksimova Paneva (MMC 25 – Sofia), Delyan Slavchev Peevski (MMC 9 – Kardzhali), Dimitar Ivanov Avramov (MMC 15 – Pleven), Halil Redzhepov Letifov (MMC 22 – Smolyan), Kostadin Todorov Kostadinov (MMC 25 – Sofia), and Tsoncho Tomov Ganev (MMC 23 – Sofia). The CEC is scheduled to release the complete roster of members for the 52nd National Assembly on Saturday.
