The DianaMar Balneo Hotel in Pavel Banya is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation of its spa center, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The upgrades are expected to include a new ice room addition to the existing salt rooms, steam baths, and saunas. Paunov noted that DianaMar serves as an extension of the Avicenna Medical Centre’s services, following its successful development at the Markoni Balneo Hotel.
The facility was noted for pioneering high-level balneological services in the south-central town area approximately a decade ago. The design and development of the complex draw inspiration from renowned European balneological resorts, including Baden-Baden, Spa, Vichy, and Karlovy Vary. The goal of the structural improvements was to integrate innovative concepts while maintaining high standards of care.
The medical team comprises specialists in physical and rehabilitation medicine, coordinating activities under Dr. Miroslav Minev. All procedures adhere strictly to medical standards and utilize specialized equipment.
Services offered include hyperbaric oxygenation, cryotherapy, focused high-intensity EMSELLA therapy, and focused shockwave therapy (FSWT). These advanced methods are utilized for treating medical conditions and supporting the preparation and recovery of active athletes, enabling shorter recovery periods and increased therapeutic effectiveness. The core focus remains balneotherapy, leveraging the mineral water in Pavel Banya, which is beneficial for treating musculoskeletal disorders
