The DianaMar Balneo Hotel in Pavel Banya is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation of its spa centre, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The upgrades are set to include a new ice room alongside the renovated salt rooms, steam baths, and saunas. Paunov noted that DianaMar extends the services of the Avicenna Medical Centre in Pavel Banya, following its development in the Markoni Balneo Hotel.
He mentioned that the facility was among the first in the south-central town to offer high-level balneological services approximately ten years ago. The design and development of the complex draw inspiration from renowned European balneological resorts, such as Baden-Baden, Spa, Vichy, and Karlovy Vary. The goal, Paunov stated, was to structurally enhance the facility using proprietary ideas and innovations.
The complex team comprises specialists in physical and rehabilitation medicine, with operations coordinated by Dr. Miroslav Minev. All procedures adhere strictly to medical standards and utilize specialized equipment.
The services offered at this balneo hotel include hyperbaric oxygenation, cryotherapy, focused high-intensity EMSELLA therapy, and focused shockwave therapy (FSWT). These advanced methods are utilized for both medical treatment and the preparation and recovery of active athletes, allowing for reduced recovery times and enhanced therapeutic effectiveness. The facility combines various natural and mechanical treatments with kinesitherapy, centering its focus on balneotherapy, given the beneficial composition of the mineral water in Pavel Banya for treating musculoskeletal disorders.
While spa and wellness services are also provided, the hotel remains a significant medical destination. The 80-room hotel maintains a high occupancy rate, drawing clientele from Bulgaria and international markets including Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Switzerland, Austria, Belarus, and Ukraine.
