Bulgaria Wins Most Votes in Greece Voting Sections, Preliminary Results Show

According to data published by the Central Election Commission, Progressive Bulgaria secured the highest number of votes among various political parties during the recent snap parliamentary elections held in Greece. The figures are based on an analysis of 95.74% of the processed tally sheets, as reported Monday morning. The statistics indicate that 2,061 Bulgarian citizens residing in Greece cast their votes for Progressive Bulgaria.

Following this result, the Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria coalition garnered 889 votes. Other significant vote totals were recorded for GERB-UDF, which received 404 votes, and Velichie, which obtained 344 votes. The election results across various parties demonstrate the distribution of the votes cast by the Bulgarian diaspora in Greece.

Vazrazhdane received 293 votes, while MECh was recorded with 285 votes. Smaller parties included Siyanie with 102 votes and BSP – United Left with 68 votes. Furthermore, 53 voters opted to register their ballot indicating they did not support any listed candidate or party.

These figures provide a snapshot of the voting patterns for the Bulgarian political landscape as reflected in the diaspora community in Greece. The data confirms Progressive Bulgaria’s leading position in the recorded votes, while providing a comprehensive breakdown of support across the major political factions participating in the elections.
