Earlier that day, Rumen Milanov, the most senior MP present, opened the inaugural session of the 52nd National Assembly by administering the oath to the 240 lawmakers. Looking ahead, Vitanov outlined several critical legislative and administrative hurdles facing bulgaria. Key immediate priorities include successfully passing the national budget and resolving complex issues related to the treasury.
Furthermore, curbing public speculation was identified as a necessary task for the incoming administration. Beyond budgetary concerns, Vitanov highlighted structural reforms as major objectives for Progressive Bulgaria. These include the election of a new Supreme Judicial Council and the appointment of a new prosecutor general.
