The Deputy Chair of the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the final list preferences for 14 candidates who were elected in two distinct multi-member constituencies (MMCs). These declarations determine which specific list these individuals will enter for the 52nd National Assembly. The CEC reported that while 13 candidates had been identified on Thursday, the total number rose to 14 following a decision by a list leader on Friday.
The 14 individuals have now formally stated their preferred constituency for their mandate. The declarations involved several switches between MMCs. For instance, Alexander Georgiev Pulev opted to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora, rather than MMC 30 – Shumen.
Similarly, Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev selected MMC 9 – Kardzhali instead of MMC 24 – Sofia. Other confirmed shifts include Rumen Georgiev Radev moving from MMC 2 – Burgas to MMC 25 – Sofia, and Boyko Metodiev Borissov choosing MMC 16 – Plovdiv over MMC 25 – Sofia. The list of 14 candidates confirmed their final assignments, which included Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev moving from MMC 29 – Haskovo to MMC 24 – Sofia, and Tsoncho Tomov Ganev selecting MMC 23 – Sofia instead of MMC 2 – Burgas.
The CEC confirmed these decisions regarding the composition of the incoming parliament. The CEC is scheduled to release the comprehensive list of members of the 52nd National Assembly on Saturday. Furthermore, the commission previously announced the initial distribution of seats among the political parties for the upcoming legislative session.
