The spa centre at Ensana Aquahouse Hotel, located in the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort near Varna on the Black Sea, is enhancing its offerings with new anti-stress programmes, according to spa manager Nikolay Popov. These services primarily cater to working professionals seeking mental recuperation, with the programmes specifically designed to mitigate chronic stress levels.
Popov noted that the fast pace of modern life often leads to accumulated mental tension. He explained that when the mind is overloaded alongside a lack of physical activity, it can predispose the body to degenerative processes. Recognizing these risks, younger individuals are increasingly seeking recovery methods.
The spa centre’s services appeal to all age groups; even early-career professionals seek anti-stress therapies due to the pressure of competitive environments. The developed programmes utilize an individualized approach, ensuring guests can maintain benefits after their stay. Mineral water is highlighted for its ability to reduce tension by signaling the central nervous system via skin receptors to promote relaxation and reduce hyperactivity.
This process helps lower heart rate and blood pressure, offering comprehensive physical and mental benefits. Furthermore, since late 2025, Ensana Aquahouse has introduced a specialized underwater kinesitherapy programme. This is intended for individuals recovering from surgery, joint replacement, or those managing neurodegenerative or temporary mobility issues.
A certified kinesitherapist guides and supports the movements during these sessions. The spa centre’s commitment to wellness is featured in BTA’s BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water segment, which covers over 200 certified facilities in Bulgaria.
