Folk Dance Ensemble SamoDivi to Perform in Munich

The Innsbruck-based folk dance ensemble SamoDivi is scheduled to participate in the 11th edition of the traveling festival, Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance. This event will take place at Munich’s BMW Park from May 15th to May 17th. For the third consecutive year, the ensemble will perform “Zaludo Libe Kitka ne Davaydance,” aiming to convey the “sincere, vibrant emotion” that unites them regardless of their location.

According to the ensemble’s team, preparations are advancing with significant enthusiasm. They are currently rehearsing twice weekly, focusing on intricate details and costume preparation. SamoDivi is described as a small but cohesive group comprising dancers from various generations.

For the performers, folklore transcends mere dance; it represents a connection, a sense of belonging, and a means of maintaining unity worldwide. The SamoDivi team expressed anticipation for sharing this emotion on stage in Munich. The festival, Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance, is organized for amateur folklore ensembles performing outside of Bulgaria.

The initiative was established by the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which hosted the first edition in 2015 and the tenth edition in 2025. The 11th Munich event anticipates attendance from over 100 dance groups and more than 4,000 guests. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is serving as the official media partner, providing coverage for all participating groups.
