Football Union Head Georgi Ivanov and Hristo Stoichkov Take Part in FIFA Tournament before Organization’s Congress

Bulgarian Football Union President Georgi Ivanov took part in a legends game tournament organized by FIFA leading up to the 76th Congress, which was held in Vancouver, Canada. Ivanov was a member of the European football governing body’s team, which featured several notable figures in world soccer, including David Trezeguet, Andriy Shevchenko, Goran Pandev, Davor Suker, and Michel Salgado. The UEFA team advanced to the semifinals but was ultimately defeated by the Canadian squad, which included Hristo Stoichkov and Demetrio Albertini.

In addition to the athletic event, the official delegation of the Bulgarian Football Union, led by Ivanov and accompanied by Deputy Executive Directors Iveta Bankova and Dobrin Gyonov, attended a working meeting with UEFA member associations.
