The Grand Hotel Knyaz Pavel is undertaking a major expansion of its spa centre in Pavel Banya, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The development is scheduled for completion by the end of the year, significantly increasing the complex’s overall capacity. The new facilities will include additional relaxation rooms, a salt room, a storm room, an adventure trail, a Himalayan sauna, an ice room, and infinity pools fed by mineral water.
Complementing these amenities, the hotel’s medical centre is certified to administer a full spectrum of rehabilitation treatments. This allows for the management of conditions such as degenerative joint diseases, peripheral nervous system disorders, post-traumatic issues, and rheumatological ailments. The medical centre, overseen by Dr.
Miroslav Minev, employs specialists in physical medicine, neurology, and kinesiotherapy, utilizing modern treatments including hydrotherapy, multifunctional hydro-massage, and thermotherapy. The spa centre itself features an outdoor pool heated to 32°C, a multi-purpose indoor pool at 36°C, a Kneipp path, a saltwater jacuzzi, and various saunas. In terms of event capacity, the hotel has also expanded its conference facilities by constructing a second hall and renovating the existing one, bringing the total capacity to 400 people to support conference tourism.
This expansion is part of a broader commitment to wellness tourism. BTA covers certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres across Bulgaria through its BG SPA: Salus per aquam feature. This initiative is linked to the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11-13
