Grand Hotel Knyaz Pavel is undergoing an expansion of its spa center in Pavel Banya, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The development project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year, which will significantly increase the complex’s capacity. The new additions are set to feature an adventure trail, a salt room, a storm room, a Himalayan sauna, an ice room, and infinity pools utilizing mineral water.
The hotel’s medical center is equipped to manage a wide array of health conditions, including degenerative joint diseases, peripheral nervous system disorders, post-traumatic issues, and rheumatological diseases. The facility operates with specialized teams in physical medicine, neurology, and kinesiotherapy, providing comprehensive rehabilitation treatments. The spa center offers extensive hydrotherapy facilities.
These include an outdoor pool heated to 32°C and an indoor multi-purpose pool at 36°C, alongside specialized massage therapies using essential oils from the Rose Valley. Relaxation amenities are diverse, featuring a Kneipp path, a Turkish bath, various saunas, and steam baths. Beyond wellness, the hotel is bolstering its conference capabilities.
A second hall was constructed and the existing one renovated, bringing the total event capacity to 400 people, supporting the growth of conference tourism. In parallel development, BTA is highlighting certified wellness destinations in Bulgaria through its “BG SPA: Salus per aquam” feature, which currently covers over 200 sites. This initiative is linked to the major HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT scheduled for 2026 in Varna, Sts.
Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena.
