Grand Hotel Knyaz Pavel is undertaking a major construction project to expand its spa centre in Pavel Banya, according to General Manager Georgi Paunov. The expansion is anticipated to conclude by the end of the year, increasing the overall capacity of the wellness complex. The new facilities will include additional relaxation rooms, a salt room, a storm room, an adventure trail, a Himalayan sauna, an ice room, and infinity pools utilizing mineral water.
The hotel’s medical centre holds the necessary licenses to provide a comprehensive range of rehabilitation treatments. This allows the centre to manage various conditions, such as degenerative joint diseases, peripheral nervous system disorders, post-traumatic injuries, and rheumatological diseases. The facility operates with specialists in physical and rehabilitation medicine, neurology, and kinesiotherapy, overseen by Dr.
Miroslav Minev. The spa amenities are extensive, featuring a heated outdoor pool at 32°C, a 36°C multi-purpose indoor pool, a Kneipp path, and various thermal areas including Turkish baths, saunas, and a saltwater jacuzzi. Furthermore, the hotel has bolstered its conference capabilities with the construction of a second hall and the renovation of an existing one, bringing the total event capacity to 400 people.
This development supports the hotel’s strategy to grow conference tourism. Separately, BTA highlights its ongoing feature, BG SPA: Salus per aquam, which showcases over 200 certified spa and wellness centres across Bulgaria. This initiative is linked to the international HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 2026 in Varna, Sts.
Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena.
