Killed, 14 Injured in Drone Attack in Odesa

According to Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, an overnight drone attack targeted the city of Odesa, Southern Ukraine. Kiper reported that the assault resulted in two individuals killed and fourteen people injured. State Emergency Service rescuers evacuated 36 residents, including two children, from the affected areas.

The consequences of the Russian attack were widespread, affecting both residential infrastructure and maritime assets. Significant damage was reported across several residential buildings, with apartments and facades destroyed and windows shattered. Authorities confirmed that all relevant services are currently working to manage the aftermath of the overnight incident.

Additionally, a merchant ship, flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis and en route to a port in Greater Odesa, sustained damage. A fire broke out aboard the vessel but was reportedly extinguished quickly by the crew, with no casualties reported from the ship itself. The initial reports detail substantial structural damage to the city.

While the administration is addressing the immediate fallout, the incident underscores the ongoing instability in the region. The focus of local authorities remains on assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the aerial assault on Odesa.
