Nessebar Municipality has announced a comprehensive schedule of events to coincide with the start of the Giro d’Italia 2026 on May 8. The local municipality has curated a detailed programme designed to engage residents and visitors leading up to the major cycling event. The preparatory activities begin on May 7.
The day’s schedule includes a bazaar set up in Mesambria Square, followed by an amateur cycling tour that will traverse the seaside town starting at 10 a.m. The cultural programme continues into the evening. Attendees can enjoy performances by various groups at the Yana Laskova National Community Centre.
Furthermore, the Old Town area will host musical entertainment, featuring concerts by the trio VIVA and the rock group B.T.R. These performances are scheduled near the historic fortress walls. The evening festivities will conclude with a fireworks display organized by the municipality.
On the day of the race, May 8, the municipality will also organize a cross-country race that follows the official route of the Giro d’Italia. This multi-day event showcases the town’s commitment to hosting major sporting occasions. The comprehensive programme ensures that the celebration extends beyond the main race, offering cultural, sporting, and recreational activities for the entire community.
