SPA Hotel in Razlog Reports Strong Interest from Visitors from Israel, Greece, Romania, North Macedonia

Petar Zahov, General Manager of the Katarino SPA Hotel in Razlog, reported significant international interest in the establishment, noting demand from visitors originating in Israel, Greece, Romania, and North Macedonia. While the hotel’s primary clientele remains Bulgarian, Zahov stated that this foreign interest reflects both sustained regional demand and established brand recognition across the Balkans and the Middle East. The Katarino SPA Hotel was recently ranked first among the top ten five-star mountain hotels in Bulgaria for 2025, marking its second consecutive year in the top spot.

This ranking is derived from the HotScore™ index, which evaluates guest reviews and ratings from over 1,200 hotels nationwide. The hotel has accumulated several accolades, including recognition as the best four-star mountain spa hotel in 2020 and the best four-star spa hotel offering local cuisine in 2022. The hotel’s spa center provides extensive thermal and relaxation facilities, all accessible complimentary to guests.

Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools heated to approximately 34°C, a cave-style jacuzzi, a salt room, and various saunas (Finnish, Kiva, and infrared). Further facilities comprise an aroma and panoramic steam bath, a laconium, adventure showers, and a tepidarium. Treatment options are diverse, featuring massages, hydrotherapy, and specialized therapies aimed at recovery and preventive care.

The facility offers specific programs for various needs, such as flotation and Cleopatra baths, alongside deep-tissue and hot stone massages. The spa area continues to develop, highlighted by a new outdoor pool with an infinity jacuzzi constructed in 2023, solidifying its focus on comprehensive wellness experiences.
