The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the decisions made by fourteen candidates who were elected in two Multi-Member Constituencies (MMCs) regarding which list they will enter the 52nd National Assembly. The Deputy Chair of the CEC confirmed these declarations during a meeting held on Friday. The CEC reported that following the initial announcement of 13 elected candidates from two MMCs, the count reached 14 after Katya Paneva finalized her list selection.
These fourteen candidates have now officially stated their preferred constituency for entering the legislature. Specific changes in representation were announced, detailing where several elected individuals chose to represent themselves. For instance, Alexander Georgiev Pulev opted to enter from MMC 27 – Stara Zagora rather than MMC 30 – Shumen.
Similarly, Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev selected MMC 9 – Kardzhali over MMC 24 – Sofia. Other transfers included Rumen Georgiev Radev moving from MMC 2 to MMC 25 – Sofia, and Boyko Metodiev Borissov moving from MMC 25 – Sofia to MMC 16 – Plovdiv. The list of transfers included Delyan Aleksandrov Dobrev moving from MMC 29 – Haskovo to MMC 24 – Sofia, and Tomislav Peykov Donchev moving from MMC 23 – Sofia to MMC 7 – Gabrovo.
The CEC stated that on Thursday, the commission had already published the distribution of seats among political parties for the upcoming parliament. The full roster of members of the 52nd National Assembly is anticipated to be announced by the CEC on Saturday.
